If you have ever considered a prestigious piece of furniture,
you are in the right place.
WHY?
Because the material we use to craft our furniture simply cannot be reproduced.
What's it about?
Black oak is a kind of wood that you cannot obtain by simply cutting down the right species. It originated as ordinary oak, but lying buried under layers of silt and water it gained nobility over thousands of years.
…and now it can share that nobility with you.

One of the oldest specimens found in Poland is around 8 000 years old — it began to grow when Doggerland, the sunken land bridge between Britain and Europe, still existed. Many specimens are far older than that! For the most part it is, de facto, a fossil.

Bog oak is a material that cannot be reproduced. With limited supply, demand pushes the price ever higher. But could the price of owning it really be a human life? It turns out, yes. According to certain accounts, bog oak furniture enjoyed special prestige on the banks of the Neva, inside the Winter Palace, where it adorned the throne rooms of the tsar's family. Owning a piece of furniture made from this wood was punishable by death. As the legend goes, only the tsar's family was allowed to possess such pieces.

See the offerOak has always been a symbol of strength, endurance and wisdom, but black oak went a step further and is making a strong comeback in fine craftsmanship and design. Designers and artisans treat it as a precious stone among woods.
It is exceptionally high, the result of chemical processes that span thousands of years. The colour comes from natural tannins.

The hardness of bog oak makes the wood much harder to work and to bring to the intended shape.
Drying demands extra caution. The wood cracks at standard drying speeds.
After extraction, the log should season for up to 10-15 years before it can be put to use.
